The authorities are obliged to comply with the provisions for the protection of victims of human trafficking contained in the international conventions and, in this context, can delegate certain tasks to specialized organizations. It is crucial that the services provided in this context meet quality standards and comply with international obligations.
To ensure standards that meet international requirements, the organizations responsible for providing care must have adequate resources. A clear political commitment from the cantons and the federal government in this area is essential to provide these resources.
The Platform has developed common quality standards that form the basis for the work of member organizations with victims of human trafficking.
